LDR, I see you've been posting on other forums within Healingwell, so i guess you have more than just a PC issue. Welcome to our part of the world.
Nothing to be nervous about. It is fairly routine these days. An MRI guided biopsy will reduce the chance of a false negative and the MRI might show some areas of suspicion telling the Dr to take additional samples from that area. Thats the reason for the MRI.
Also, looking at your PSA numbers, which apparently have dropped incrementally each time it was done, its doubtful that you have anything nefarious lurking in your prostate.
Regarding AS, you are a good candidate for it, and as long as you are in a structured program, which it sounds like you are, that follows all the protocols, then the "ACTIVE" part of active surviellance is highly likely to keep you out of harms way, and tell you if you need to treat, before it gets too serious. There are studies that have been done on this, i cannot cite any, but i am sure others will chime in, who can and will.
As for Tulsa Pro treatment, i never heard of it, but a quick google search leads me to believe it is a relatively new, focal treatment similar to HIFU. I would be leery unless there is a strong track record.
But you are getting ahead of yourself, see what the biopsy shows first, you may not need treatment
Last thing i would add...if i were you i would have sent the slides from your first biopsy out for a second opinion, to Johns Hopkins Pathiology, Dr Jonathan Epstein. Reading PC slides is very subjective and you want someone looking at them who specializes in PC, Epstein is a world reknowned prostate pathologist and he and his staff do nothing but Prostate slides. Consider doing that with the scond biopy, depending on what the results are.
Good luck keep us posted.
