Lung and brain metastasis UPDATE after treatment

Hi everyone, hope you all are staying safe

I wanted to give you an update on my dad’s treatment and how we are doing now.

As this year is extra challenging for us, brain surgery Jan 2020, radiation WBRT March 2020, chemo April-August 2020, I can now say that my dad is doing fine. Finished chemo beginning of August with PSA of 8,9 today his PSA is 4 he is able to do everything on his own and looking forward to a month without scheduled check ups. Next meeting with the doctor is Dec 1st, to possibly plan ahead a PSMA Pet CT for future treatment plans with Lu177 which we are happy to have it as an option but not eager to start any time soon.
Another thing I wanted to mention is that my father has had echinococcus for many many years the cysts have been “calcified” but in the past months have reactivated and one has grown and punctured his stomach the surgery is too risky so he is now on Eskazole-Albendazole for 6 weeks and the doctor is mentioning that this medication is in our favor - having also anti cancer properties.
