Movember 2020

Whiskers are growing here. This year DH is working on mustache and goatee rather than a full beard. Our neighbors and friends know to look for that beard every time this year, but he has a hard time getting anyone to join him.

Lol!!! That's my favorite episode. I often give George's philosophy consideration. 😉

I have had a beard since age 19. The only time I've taken it off has been by accident. Accident? Well yeah caused by an unsteady hand when attempting to "trim" it. This does not happen since I bought a proper trimmer but in the past, I'd use one of those razor's that had twin blade sides and opened up (the kind we used all the time years ago) I'd open it up to lop off larger bits and failed badly and took off too much.

Full bear but shave the neck and upper cheek area to look neat.

Truth is it hides my double chin but I also always liked a beard

Congratulations on turning 70, Pratoman! I won't repeat the overused drivel about 70 being the new 50, but I do like the old saying attributed to pitcher Satchel Paige: "Age is mind over matter. If you don't mind, it doesn't matter. "

Too bad we can't post photos here. I would liked to have seen your Fu Man Chu. I'd also like to see a photo of Logoslidat riding his surfboard in Hawaii, VinceinMt out for a run, BillyBob lining up his vitamins for the week, BuddyBlank eyes ablaze as he types one of his fireball posts... well, you get the picture. I sometimes imagine what different long-time posters look like, which is probably way different then they look in person. Just as well, no photos on Healing Well.

I've had a full, but short trimmed, beard since 1980 or so. The mustache goes back even further. The handful of guys at our Navy coastal surveillance detachment in Vietnam grew them back in 1968 and I've had it ever since. Though when I returned to the real Navy after 'Nam I had to trim it quite a bit. It turned out Navy had all kinds of bizarre customs about hair, matching uniforms, saluting and more. Who knew?

Happy Birthday Ken! I never would have tagged you as a Scorpio. Wife and I both have birthdays this month... I'll be seventy and she'll be 68. We are taking our usual two weeks in Orlando to celebrate, in Celebration FL.

Back on topic, I grew a stache & goatee for Movember a couple of years ago. She didn't like it and I found it uncomfortable, so off it went before Thanksgiving.

BTW Matt, I shave once or twice a week... whether I need it or not ;\

I know what you mean. Our vision almost never matches reality. I spoke with a client only on the phone for years. I pictured a white shirt super successful business type (because he was). He came to town once & I meet a guy wearing jeans with a corduroy jacket and a long pony tail.

Talking about what folks look like ..l have often wondered...who the folks that pop up in my dreams are...kinda a reverse thing on those folk...you know and what they look like... Im not talking about relatives and folks ...but those who are extras in your dreams...they have faces...they talk...sorta...they would also popup when while stoned...and eyes shut and all kinds of faces then morph in and out into this one and that one ya know hallucinations...who da frick are these people...and where do they hang out and do they mix and match in other follks dreams and/or stoners...just ya know thoughts from the quantum mist...oh the stories I can tell the dreams where in I can dwell...schemes that f'ly on chimera's stings...blessed

Wings, good point, didnt think of that, mask hides the stache. But thats the advantage to a fu man chu. Mine was so wild that it was sticking out from the bottom of the mask? LOLOL

Been growing something since August when my son asked me to have a beard when his new baby was on the way. But between chemo, ADT, abiraterone, my facial hair is spar and can only manage a sparse goat. Oh well.....
