How did I arrive here? Almost 73, June my psa was 12.1 last week was 9.56 , Doing many things, Rapamycin, LDN, Fenbendazole, Protocell, colloidal silver, VA wants to do biopsy asap, within 3 months,
I'm ok with that just it's got to be MRI guided, I don't want to guess here, 3T mri w/c results PiRad 4, Dropped agent orange card on them, got team looking for treatment? Phone will ring anytime now!

I am of the same company agent orange... much further down the road... this site has been a blessing for me... Also many other vets on her so ask away brother.

The biopsy isn't fun, but neither is it terrible. With some luck your elevated PSA is due to something other than cancer.

The biopsy isn't fun, but neither is dying. I had many prostate biopsies and, yes, there is discomfort. But biopsies are currently the only way to know if you have very serious prostate cancer. If you really have a lot of pain, tell you urologist he needs to improve his or her nerve-block technique. Otherwise, grin and bear it -- it's a short procedure, and you'll be good as new a short time after smile

JW, Welcome to Healingwell, and thank you for your service.
The biopsy will tell you what the next steps might be, so it seems not much to do but be patient. Lots of that required when it comes to Prostate Cancer, or any Cancer for that matter, patience is required.
Its good to see that your PSA dropped 3 points, but still thats a pretty high number. Along with the Pirads 4 on the MRI, seems like something might be brewing. As Djin said though, cant know for sure without a biopsy.

Once you get the results, it will be important to be your own advocate, we have guys here who are very educated and can help you interpret results (with an understanding that none of us are Medical Professionals). Once step at a time

Slow to respond, phone call for next step, biopsy. I plan doing within 2-4 months, pondering other alternative treatments.

As, low dose Naltrexone, LDN, I've been taking for about 3 months, started at 1mg, worked up to 4.5 mg, its got some amazing potential, increasing immune NK and T cells. So, this last week I've double down on it, twice a day. 9:00pm, and 9:00am

The other snake oil product is Colloidal silver with D-Fructose, after reviewing 3T-mri w/c ,seeing white spots on prostate, how does that iv contrast get there? Not much blood flow there? Its a long shot, desperate times,

Ozone, I've been fan for long time, have done many treatment,
IV is the best, my thoughts are to inject gland with Ozone with MRI guided needles, why not, these blind biopsy aren't finding there target, Ozone kills on contact, and no collateral damage. I know, we all search for better solutions.

You need to get the biopsy and know what you are dealing before you can decide on possible treatments. Your biopsy will not be blind, as there is at least one MRI target.

If you are on Facebook, there is a Prostate Cancer non-Surgical Treatments and Support group there, and members often discuss the types of alternatives you have mentioned.

Sprayed and betrayed....Sgt USAF...Korat RTAFB, Thailand 1968-1969. Got a 4.9 PSA and % free PSA showed a 55% chance of prostate cancer resulting from my annual blood work spring of 2019. VA sent me to a private hospital for tests including the biopsy. Tell you what...other than the pain the doc caused shoving the probe in my butt for the biopsy, the actual biopsy caused no pain at all.....I just heard the clicks every time the thing took a sample. I ended up with 3 of 12 samples positive and had single port robotic surgery October, 2019. All PSA's have been <0.01 since then. Odd thing was around the same time I got the cancer diagnosis the Atlanta VA sent me a letter stating "you have been determined to be a Vietnam era herbicide exposed Veteran." I took that letter and the diagnosis to the local Veterans Affairs office, they submitted a claim, and 2 months later I was awarded 100% disability. I think the approval was fast because I had sent in lots of backup information with a 2018 claim for diabetes and COPD, both of which were denied but apparently the backup pics, maps, buddy letters, etc were enough for the VA to find I was exposed to herbicides which resulted in the 2019 Atlanta letter. Anyway....good luck with everything, brother!

If the biopsy is positive or you are otherwise diagnosed with PCa you then need to open a claim with the VA immediately. You can log into VA.gov and open a claim. The date you open the claim is recognized as intent to file even if you don't complete and submit the claim until later. Any disability award will be back-dated to the intent to file date. If you are diagnosed with PCa you will be rated 100 percent during and usually for 6 months after completion of treatment. Then if treatment is successful the disability rating will be reduced to cover any residual effects of treatment.

As Djin says, dying isn't fun. Like him, I've had multiple biopsies. The worst was the first when the Uro did no numbing whatsoever and I should kick his ass for that! The others have been either when I was put out or the prostate was numbed. I still felt something when it was numb, but I've had way worse pain in my life. It's over in about 10 minutes and really doesn't hurt afterwards.

I'd love to hear more about that. Was it hard to find someone to prescribe it for you?

Update, lots of stuff happened, lost youngest brother to PC early December last year 😢, I've finally got the long awaited biopsy, did it by mri fusion with precision software, 10 single shot, hit 4 targets, results 2ea G7, 2ea G6, confirm cancer.
I've decided to have Tulsa Pro treatment, scheduled next week, feel confident that success with complete recovery, I'll let you know. Been much waiting on the phone call, messages, waiting on hold, slow moving train it is.

I read that the TULSA-PRO received FDA approval for prostate tissue ablation very recently. Several trials are ongoing including one at John’s Hopkins. Several reports indicate that it does not qualify for Medicare or Commercial Reimbursement, but they were undated.

Waiting on Phone Call, which center are you using? Dr. Stephen Scionti looks to be the first clinic offering it. Is your procedure qualified for insurance reimbursement?

I'm 12 days post Tulsa pro procedure, excellent treatment at Dr Scionti, Sarasota FL, That means I get to remove the Foley catheter! in 2 days. Yeah, it's been convenient & in the way at same time.
My recovery has been great, procedure was completely painless, out for 4 hours,
Will follow up with psa test at 30 days, then every 3 months, 1 year do mri look .
This procedure not available to everyone, lots of hoops, qualified checks, paperwork, appointments. Not covered by insurance! Do your own research,

I took the Foley out myself at day 14 post procedure, since then progress every day, 33 days post procedure, PSA .71 walking a lot, fasting 3-4 days wk, ketogenic lifestyle, overall doing great, just a little sore down there, no other issues. JW
