Back when I was a college student (late 70's), there was ONE course in genetics offered, and it was basic Mendelian genetics: Punnet Squares, Dominant vs Recessive genes, Chromosome pictures, and growing red, white, and pink sweet peas in the greenhouse.
Biochemistry was learning the Krebs cycle and extracting cholesterol from gallstones, and reading "The Double Helix" by Watson and Crick.
Now? A whole new world.
Reading
The Double Helix (by Watson) must have been the most enjoyable part of that course.
After all these years, I still remember the first sentence. Does anyone else?
