My Jeff recently had an off day cognitively. He couldn’t answer questions appropriately and in general appeared disoriented and confused.
Although I hoped it was due to a med change, I feared the worst in that we would learn the cancer was again active in his brain.
Jeff’s oncologist ordered an MRI of his pelvis, spine, and brain.
Scans showed no significant change!!!!
I have never been so relieved or happy!!!
Jeff is still scheduled for a PET scan which will cover head to feet and we are due to see Dr. Kwon on the 15th.
Jeff is still combatting profound fatigue and often doesn’t feel well. This is a noticeable change in Jeff, although we aren’t clear on what’s causing it.
Jeff’s oncologist wasn’t sold on the increase in Gabapentin as being the source of his cognitive disruption or any other maladies.
Perhaps the PET scan will give a clearer picture as to what is going on.
Jeff’s leg strength continues to deteriorate. He has lost hope this will ever be resolved and he mourns the things he used to be able to do.
Despite still having concerns about his well being, tonight I’m celebrating a win in Jeff’s favor this time. A huge win!!! No progression in pelvis, spine, BRAIN!!!!
Woot! Woot!
