Struggling

Hi everyone
I’m having a tough day. My dad went in for a colonoscopy due to a focal perirectal wall area of uptake of 8mm. Well, if you’ve been following me you know that we found this spot on a PSMA PET scan in November along with a 3cm by 1.9cm mass in prostate bed and 3 unmeasurable spots on ribs. Please see signature for history. Anyway, Dad couldn’t have colonoscopy due to low heart rate. He goes for a consult on pacemaker soon. My reason for struggling today is that I was hoping to have answers about the 8mm spot near rectal wall. I assume it is PC as it was seen in the PSMA scan with pylarify. It’s hard to deal with this coming back a third time. Dad is taking Lupron and his PSA has already gone down to undetectable. Idk if that’s enough to know the hormone is working or if there will be other scans.
His results from November also said no tracer avid solid organ lesion is identified. Does that mean no organ involvement?
I feel like I’m all over the place with this today. I know the oncologists said this is treatable and manageable but I’m just having a bad day I guess. Anyone been in this position?

I can't offer any medical insights, but I can offer this: if the oncologists said it's manageable and treatable, lean on that for now. The Internet is a wonderful but also sometimes scary place that's filled with "facts" and "data" that often lacks context and can't be applied to all situations. I struggle as well -- since my diagnosis I've probably doubled my time on the Internet and it's all focused on searching for information on PCa. I want this to go away. You want it to go away for your dad. I totally get it.

My husband is continuously telling me we have to trust the doctors. I know that we do. Sometimes it just helps to talk to others who have been, or are in, a similar situation. It would have helped to have had the colonoscopy and had answers there. I would assume the 8mm spot would be PC if it’s anything at all. That would mean the hormone shot should take care of it. Just the unknowns so far are hard to handle.

Well, Dad had a pacemaker put in on 5/3. He did great with that! He had follow up bladder scope in 5/4 and there is something there in the bladder neck again (where the urologist had removed prostate cancer cells in January and believed he got it all). It could be scar tissue or a stone but believe the urologist is leaning towards PC regrowth. His PSA in early April was less than .13 which would indicate the Lupron is working, so it doesn’t make much sense to me. They plan to go back in mid June to get whatever it is out of there and have ut biopsied. If it is prostate cancer again already that is pretty scary! Idk if they would change the hormone or add something for him to take with it. Anyone been in this boat? Seems like it just won’t die in the prostate bed area.
