Hope your dad starts to regain strength. Good news on the PSA dropping. I've been extremely fortunate not to have the serious fatigue and other side effects from my LU-177. Noticed your dad's low iron -- that's something I haven't had to deal with -- my issue is HIGH iron levels and 95% saturation due to my hemochromatosis (hereditary condition where the body is unable to rid iron from the bloodstream. Only treatment is 4 phlebotomies each year.).
I hope your dad's strength will return, much like those who've gone through chemo and reached the depths of fatigue and despair, only to slowly get back to (the new) normal.
Your dad has certainly been blessed with a wonderful, caring, and loving daughter. All the best to him and you. -Steve

I wanted to wish you all a very merry Christmas and I hope I am finding you all in good health.
With heavy heart and tears in my eyes I wanted to let you know that today it’s 2 months since I lost my father, there would probably be no words that can use to describe the loss and the pain I feel.
I felt like I owed you all a big thank you for the support and to update you on his last months of his journey.
As he finished with the last infusion of LU-177 (5th) on June 2nd where doctors decided that he is to weak to continue, his recovery was very slow with lots of ups and downs, few days we will be excited about his progress with appetite and energy and the next couple of days would be struggle to eat or drink, (going in cycles) his cognitive abilities drastically diminished and we had difficulty communicating, he would forget almost instantly what he wanted to say or what we spoke about a minute ago.
Even all that I was determined that we keep all our appointments, blood checks and PSA checks as well was the PSMA Pet CT appointment end of August.
PSA was continuously dropping and the last Scan in August the findings showed that there was dramatic and fascinating reduction in all the active sides, doctor’s: almost everything has disappeared. The doctor said that looking at the findings and the blood work doesn’t correspond to his actual state of being. That he is very very exhausted from all previous treatments and that recovery would be long and we should not expect drastic improvement in his cognitive abilities…. Last visit with our doctor was October 22nd with PSA again decreasing.
On October 24th my father fell and fractured his femur, doctors ruled out a possibility for a surgery because of his overall weakness. He was bed bound for the next couple of days where on the 29 in the morning my mother called me to come since my father’s breathing was difficult, as I arrived we were not alarmed and expecting the worst… but about an hour after me arriving and being by his side he passed.
I am still looking for the right words to describe my loss, he was my everything, the strongest person that I looked up to - making every obstacle that showed on his road into a challenge to be conquered.

So sorry to hear of your loss. What a great role model he must have been, and he left you with a road map for dealing with life's challenges.

I'm very sorry for you losing your Dad. He gave it his best, and he was very fortunate to have you there every step of the way. I suspect he was proud of you and I think you can be proud for being a good daughter.

I'm so very sorry to hear of your father's passing. My thoughts are with you, since reading the news.

Always know in your heart that his fight was valiant, his determination remained undaunted, and your devotation was steadfast.

In his last days, no more could be asked than this ... and he had your care and devotion through it all.

No greater blessing could there be than your devotation to him, and his care, comfort, and well-being.

Please take care of yourself in the days ahead. I'm sorry for the loss of your father. I will keep you in my thoughts ...

May little glimmers and glints of peace begin to rest upon you ~ and may it uplift you to know that others are thinking of you.

I'm very sorry to hear about your Dad's trials, tribulations and passing. My thoughts and prayers for him, you and your family. May he RIP forever. I have been away from HW for a few years and your story today saddens me.
