Neuropathy after radiation treatment?

Haven't checked in for awhile.. finished traditional rad treatment in 2016... (45 rounds) doing great with PSA since and no new problems except for feeling neuropathy in lower legs and feet. Have any of you experienced that sort of thing post treatment? Friends say it's kinda common at my age ,74,to experience that even without any radiation treatment. Starting gabapentin which is a common prescription for this .....but being 7 years out im still very happy about my decision for radiation treatment. Hi Drifter, good to hear from you. I had both brachytherapy and 25 IMRT sessions nearly 13 years ago and no problems with neuropathy or anything else. As you say, most likely age related and due to other conditions. Hope you find some relief.

Glad to hear from you!

I had 45 radiation treatments, but had no issues with neuropathy.

Have they suggested any circulation exercises or specific shoes?

When I went through chemotherapy, my oncologist recommended that I rest my hands and my feet on bags of ice cubes ~ to potentially mitigate issues with neuropathy later.

I hope the new medication pays dividends for you, and I hope you experience treatment success.

Thanks Cyclone!.. good to hear from you again...I need to start checking in more now. Just had total knee replacement a few weeks ago..my latest hurdle... slow but steady recovery...Peace

FI,
I get neuropathy in my right leg, mostly during the night, which then leads me to a quick hot flash. My neuropathy seemed to have started about one month into my ADT. I'm hoping that the neuropathy will go away once I stop my ADT.
When I get my lower right leg neuropathy, I get up and take a walk to the bathroom, which seems to help it go away quicker.
