I'm hoping the AUS won't prevent me from riding altogether. Damaging the cuff would be the nightmare scenario. I wasn't sure if that was actually located in the perineum.
I've got a split saddle, but the split is fairly narrow. They make one that's adjustable and it may be worth a try. Tilting the nose downward slightly may help too. It will probably take quite a while after surgery before I can safely ride anyway, but I just wanted to see if anyone had any really bad experiences with bike riding after surgery.
try a noseless saddle like the spiderflex (https://www.spiderflex.com/) i was a high mileage cyclist for almost a decade but was sidelined with a chronic perineum injury. i was able to cycle with the spiderflex several years later
