This is my first time on this site and glad I found it. I am 61 and had my prostate removed on July 7th, 2006. I was diagnosed as follows:
PSA 7.5
T1
Gleason 7 but downgraded to 6 after biopsy.
PSA reading two months after was 'non detecable".
No further treatment - just a followup PSA in April 2007
Had leaking that is now over (in the past 3 weeks)
Get a partial erection but nothing to brag about
or useful
Orgasms are fine and sometimes ejaculate small dribbles of urine.
Now been 5 months yesterday and was hoping that I would be able to get a full useful erection by now. I have read all the letters in this sections and really appreciate all the info and suggestions.
I have tried Viagra and Levitra but nothing happens. Only tried them when I thought I might need them and had lots of stimulation as the instructions state. Should I try them regularly? What about
the pump, it sounds like it is a good option to get the "muscle" back in shape. The doctor assured me the nerves were not damaged in removing the prostate. I know we are all different but I am getting frustrated to get going again. My wife and I had an active sex life and I have never had and erection difficulties before.
Need help.
