Hi tekgeek, Kurt is doing better and better each day. We came home from Austin a day early, however, I can't blame your dadfor staying an extra night. It is a remarkable hospital. I think they said they have something like 25 beds, and roughly 5 people were on our floor. Not to mention the staff. They are at your beck and call. What a great place. When we finally got to the hotel the first night, Kurt started to panic and said "who in their right mind would leave that place". We can't say enough about the hospital and Dr. F. I am glad your dad is doing better. ChiOkc was going to stay in Austin until the cath comes out. We fly back down on Wed. for that. I will post more later, have to stop a fight between the boys...... hello all..
just a quick update, my fathers reports came back, negative margins, the cancer had not spread!!!!
he is recovering well, he is almost fully continent. considering his age (70) I am amazed at his recovery.
he occasionally has some spotting of blood in the urine when he walks a lot,
but hopefully that will get better soon.

we are all so grateful that his long trip from abroad for this operation and and
also the surgery with Dr f.a.g.i.n. (even though we had to pay for it ourselves)....it was SOOO worth it,

70 yr old
diagnosed 11/06
gleason 3+3=6, 3+4=7
last psa 7.11
davinci on 3/14/07
doctor: F.a.g.i.n.
negative surgical margins.

Tek - I was just thinking about you yesterday! That is the absolute best news! You all must be elated, especially in light of such a fast recovery. Congratulations and all our best for your dad's continued great health.
