Trey,
Your girls probably have a very hard time just dealing with the idea of a mortal parent.
Pre-adolescent and adolescent responses to such stress are not generally helpful to someone that needs a friend. We are of course here for you.
I personally (from (a "roadside") experience) always recommend reading some of the New Testament every day:
The Creator uses you to talk to others and others to talk to you.
You fine tune this communication/broadcast by reading the Creator (I recommend the New Testament. Psalms or Genesis, etc. would do.) which in turn allows the Creator to read you.
Praying helps. However, such scriptures give you that "lick your finger and stick it into a socket" uplifting jolt that only your own personal experience with such a discipline will make clear to you.
When I discuss this idea with atheists, I suggest they consider their thoughts an investment system. Then I suggest they consider the distant future (Maybe a googolplex years raised to the googolplex power maybe googolplex times... years from now.) [a googolplex is a one with a googol zeros after it. A googol is a one with 100 zeros after it.]
Then I suggest they call the supercomputer there in that future on the phone ---- (I'm sure time and space and very nice healthcare & medical practice are no problems for this computer) ---- and ask for suggestions. Don't forget to tell Him you love Him!
Keeping you in good thoughts. ICTHUS
