Thanks Lee, the blood has been drawn. PSA and testosterone level due 7/18.

hi Jim, I'm kind of behind here and haven't been around for a little while. I wanted to say congrats to your retirement and yeah on getting off the Prozac. Your posts are always from the heart and I usually feel better after reading them. and when you weren't feeling so good, I felt for you. thank you for sharing your journey and enjoy the fumbling around! tongue

Glen - I know about those 'vettes since Jeff bought an 06 last year. he scares me sometimes and I don't always go out with him because of the speed. he asks me if I trust him and I say yes; I just don't trust other people or animals.

7 - month PSA = 0.00 YaaaaHoooo!!!

I updated page one of this thread with the details. Right now I feel like a million bucks!!!!

Biker -- You da man! Congrats on your goose egg!!! I'm going for my second post-op PSA in August and beginning to chomp my nails and feel that old feeling of fear again. But I am confident that I will also score a zero. I've been feeling very well.
Enjoy the moment my man, you've earned it!

Hey Piano, that fear will likely hound us before PSAs for a long time. Just look at it as a reminder of how far we have come.  We know we have done the right thing and all that we could do.  The cancer is GONE!!!!

Hi Jim and MaryLu,

It's a funny old world Jim. I'm on Hormone Therapy to reduce testosterone while you're on T supplementation. It's a monsterly tricky disease. After reading your remarkable journal, you seem to be dealing with the tough times and enjoying the good.

Congratulations on 000 PSA levels.

Yep, funny world okay. Probably just shows how little we actually know about how our bodies work. I have done a little study of the various chemical reactions that take place with testosterone. Gets too complicated for me very quickly. But it looks like there are lots of places where things could go wrong. Thats why the docs call it practice, I guess. One of my docs would not give me testosterone at all and the other has no problem with it. Go figure...

Hi Jim and M. Kat,

I thought maybe a V-Rod...naaa I'd never be happy till I had a Fat Boy, all black & chrome. I sold off almost all my hunting rifles & shot guns because it's just getting to populated around here. (I need to be in Wyoming) then I could ride the bike without the fear of traffic and have a place to shot a 22/250 w/Leupold 12X @ 300m.

M. Kat; so Jeff got an 06' Vette? That is awsome! Why don't you drive it with him riding shotgun; to put the shoe on the other foot so-to-speak. I drove an 06' last year (first time I've driven a Vet in 25 years), and I scared myself; funny how reaction time fades after just 25 short years...

Hey Glen,

Go for the Fat Boy, ya only live once!!! I use a 22-250 (among others) for prairie dogs in Montana. Plenty space there. The only other person I see all day is my ugly hunting partner and I park the truck between me and him so he doesn't shoot me. We're going bac in September.  Ya gotta ride and shoot man. Live it up!!!

Hi Biker,

Just thought I'd let you know that we were so pleased to read of your recent 0.00 reading!

When my husband was first diagnosed as we joined this forum, I had to repeat verbally most of what I learnt here in our long, and sometimes complex, hard discussions, because he does not use computers. Even though he has never physically been to this forum (he is back rennovating now!), he always use to ask me, "What do Biker and Bluebird say?" about various topics, and even now (6 months later), he asks "How's Biker going now?" quite often.

My husband related to you because you too had open surgery (and a promising recovery) which he hoped for at the time, and has since experienced. You also have the ability to write truthfully in a candid manner which we both really appreciated, and do still appreciate.

So I thought I would thank you for this, and for all your advice to others, which has really helped my hubby as he now talks like he knows you!! We both are celebrating your good news today (I have been away for a few days, so this is a late message in a way).

Thank you for you kind thoughts and words. It looks like CJ is recovering well with his "undetectable PSA" and I am so glad for that. Its always nice to here success stories from those that we know so well and love so much even though we are many miles apart and have never seen each other in person. It is truly amazing what a forum like this can do for us who are facing life crises. A kind word, some helpful advice and a little information can make all the difference between survival and death. Without these kind people, I would still be wallowing around in deep depression if I was alive at all. I truly owe my life to you and all our friends here.
