Alright - a challenge (and opportunity) for you folks to support HW

I accept your challenge. In fact I don't think 49,792 people can donate 10 bucks. Either they don't have Amazon or Paypal accounts, or they simply have a good reason why they can't do it. Ruth and I have set aside 500.00 for donations every year. I have just donated $100.00 to HW. It's money well spent and I have done my part to help pick up the slack where others might not be able to. The month of September is Prostate cancer awareness month. We will indeed be generous this year and will likely exceed our donation budget. I for one know that the facility that treated me is worthy and I send that message to all of you. Remember the cool nurse, doctor, medical assistant, but mostly the genuine care you received. That special whatever it was is worth reinforcing. For me The City of Hope and the Nevada Cancer Institute our institutions that are funded by our insurance companies, government grants and programs, and ourselves. These places are run with people that are a different type of person than what I was accustomed to. With great gratitude, those sites will be seeing a healthy donation from me and my wife.

I, for one, would wish for a function to allows me to flag threads and add  a 'Keep watch' or such function to it.  This would allow me to follow threads I am interested in by flagging/marking them for my attention.  Alternatively, allow all replies to an individual thread to be sent to my email.

Rick - if you click on Donate in the yellow menu bar above there are a few ways you can give - credit cards are good (click on the PayPal button- you don't need a PP acct.) the other is through Amazon.
Hopefully, that will help you. This is a great place, isn't it?

I noticed in your sig line your scan & xray are clean...very very good! That is such a relief when you get news like that, isn't it?!

Yeah, I know.  That function only applies to requesting emailing replies to my own posts.  I was speaking of one to flag any thread or have anyones replies emailed to be, whether I had posted to the thread or not.  I'd have to reply to every thread I wanted to follow to get it going.

The challenge hasn't been so challenging for most so far, huh?

Hi, Just to let you know that we think this is a great idea for all to consider (thanks James). We donated (to healing well), earlier this year just before or after my husband's surgery (not sure when), so a few members have probably already done so James, over the months previously perhaps too? Good idea to encourage, and I am sure many others will hopefully consider donating.

By the way, it is "Father's Day" tomorrow in Australia (Sunday, Sept 2nd). I realise it has already been celebrated elsewhere earlier this year, but "Happy Father's Day" to all dads, grand-dads and great, grand-dads who celebrate Father's Day tomorrow, as we do here.

That's good to know, just wish it were 10x that.  I'm glad the word is getting around.  Maybe more areas will pitch in.  I added another line to my sig........lol
