This really has me baffled. After my first day of having my catheter removed, I went two weeks with the same urination pattern as before surgery. I did not get a drop on the pads that I was wearing, and I urinated every 60 to 90 minutes as my surgeon instructed. I also walked for 15 minutes five times daily and did the Kegels.
The third week I figured I was home free and quit walking and doing the Kegels. A few days later urgency started continuously and hasn’t let up for ten days. Every time that I sit down for as little as three minutes, when I get up I have to dash to the bathroom. This never happened in the first two weeks.
Has anybody else experienced this same type of pattern where you were fine the first two weeks and things went south afterward? If so, I would love to hear from you as to what happened later – did you improve quickly or was it a long process?
When I described this to my surgeon he gave me no solution. I did resume my walking and Kegels two days ago.
