Tony: Absolutely thrilled that you are doing well. Your numbers sound great and your positive attitude gives all of us reason to keep on keepin on. My post 9 weeks of radiation PSA has now dropped to 0.13 from a whopping 14 and a gleason of 8. Been on the HT bandwagon since May with a drug called Trelstar and it's no fun. Hot flashes, skeletal pain, nausea & total loss of desire. But now, whenever I start feeling sorry for myself I think of Tony in LasVegas and I get busy living. Getting your head in the right place is a major part of battling this disease and believe me you help me do that daily. Live strong man and know that you've helped so many of us do the same. Anybody out there taking an HT Lupron equivalent called Trelstar I'd love to talk with you. Thanks again Tony, Mark

My oncologist is adament that we continue the HT. I went outside his standard protocol and elected to add the radiation. I also went outside protocol and decided to start the adjuvant therapies before a relapse. Hope it works.

Thank you very much for the kind words. You are about the fifth person who has expressed extreme side effects with Trelstar. I think there may be a trend that is indicating that this is the norm for Trelstar. I don't know that there is any additional benefit over Lupron. But there have been similar posts about that drug and Eligard as well. Hang in there though. We need it to heal.
