3rd Post Op Psa...

Last week I had my 3rd post-op psa test and it was "normal", said the nurse.  Still unchanged at 0.05.  Praise the Lord.  I also discussed with my uro the possibility of the AdVance Male Sling and the AUS. He does the AUS and has never done the male sling. I asked how many AUS he does each year.  "Only about one."  "Why?" I ask. "Most of my patients are dry in a year.  That made me feel really good.  But I am where I am.  He said regarding continence and ED, "After a year, what you have is usually what you get." 

But I am grateful to continue to be cancer-free. My heart and prayers goe out to you who are not.  Somehow I can make it with these left-overs.  I won't whine anymore... at least until the next time.

Congrats,Gene, on your good PSA result! Three cheers...\0/\0/\0/  My ED has improved in small increments, even after one year post-prostatectomy.  Take care and hang in there...Tim

Congrats, Gene on your 3rd Post-Op PSA, I go for my 2nd Post-Op PSA next week, I'm hoping for the same good news. On the incontinence thing I have been one of the lucky ones. I had my catheter in for 45 days and was told that I would have a hard time getting my continence back, but after about 12 weeks I was pad free. On the ED thing, things are looking up with 50 mg of Viagara. As long as I can keep the zero's coming, things could not be much better for me.
