My surgery was April 18, so I think we're close in our recovery time. I asked about the pump when I had the catheter removed, and the nurse told me
Surprisingly, I've been able to experience full and partial erections (with manual encouragement) in and out of the shower. I've been so encouraged, that my wife and I tried intercourse this past weekend...and we both enjoyed it, even without a 100% "useable" erection and the "happy ending" that I used to experience! The nurse told me that increasing the blood flow is important in the healing process, and from what I've read and heard from others, whatever you can do to make that happen improves the odds for recovery. So I say let's carry on - after all, it's therapeutic!
This is Great News for you both JFK and KRISP....it seems to me in general that with a nerve sparing surgery the DaVinci robotic procedure is the less invasive one of the 2 (compare to
open) and the recovery period seems to be much faster ..as had mention n other posts if i had to do it again the only thing i would change is Robotic oppose to my
open surgery....however i am on the right track these days an i hope soon i ca be back to pre surgery shape....as far as golfing ..i did not have the chance to get on the course yet BUT i hope soon i will be with the better weather reproaching
