Cindy, If you want a "passed with flying colors" story. Look for Biker90. He blazed through his "open" surgery better than most. If you want one with some difficult twist and turns you can look at mine, KW's Journey. Mine will be a way back on the forum. My latest battle has been choosing and having the Artificial Urinary Sphincter (AUS) installed to give me my urine control back.
Please tell them not to get scared because of my story. I was one of the few (less than 5%) people that have the urinary problems I ended up with. But know that no matter how bad things seem sometimes you can always move forward. Incontenance does not end your life. I makes you think about things more. But in the past two years I have gone to the PGA Golf Tournament, an Alaskan Cruise, a work trip to Ohio, vacations and many other family outings. All without any major malfunctions.
You can contact me at the e-mail address on my profile and I can send you My Journey also. I am also willing to share my story on the phone if you wish.
We wish you well and feel free to lean on us anytime.
