Recurring Burning in Urethra Seven Months Out

Seven months after RP I've been having recurring bouts of mild burning in the urethra. Lab tests do not show infection and antibiotics have no effect. The only thing I can think of is the possibility of a stricture. Has anyone else experienced burning, without infection, this far out from surgery?

You probably are guessing correctly. I had burning like you mention for a good year. It was a stricture and was corrected by opening it up. Flow improved for 6months or so and has slowed up some, but no more burning.

I did not have surgery,but the problem is the same from irritating the urethra.

Have you tried increasing your fluid intake -- at least for a few days, just as a test?

Hi, i had a fistula in my small bowel into the bladder and my symtons were burning urine. At first, my general practice was treating me for urine infection, however my GI found out that i had a fistula. It was necessary a surgery to correct the problem. Take care!!!
