I had DaVinci on Nov 3rd. and today was the first day that I tried the pump and a full dose of Cialis, with very disappointing results. I hate that pump, it's pretty uncomfortable.  With Cialis and considerable stimulation I was not able to get an erection.  I did have some elongation of my penis but nothing I could work with. I know we all react differently to different stimulus, but somehow you just hope you'll take the pill and bingo you'll be hard. Like I said rough day!

Hi Sam.  Sorry to hear you had a rough day.

I know a few guys say they were able to get erections when the catheter was removed, but for the  majority of us I think it takes several months.  It took me about 11 months, and I've seen that time frame referenced by others.

I thought I'd be able to rally the little guy by sheer willpower, but that was not to be.  It can be frustrating.  I feel your agony.

Sam, sounds like my first time.  Yes, not everyone has success the first or even 100th time. It is disheartening to want it and have it not happen.  Time and practice will help.  Yes, the pump is uncomfortable, I still hate mine, after 16 months.  It is a task to use it daily, but I make myself do it, hoping it will help eventually.  What you must remember is to keep up a regular schedule of pumps, pills and pull (manual stimulation), maybe even injections later on.  turn If the cost of the Cialis is prohibitive, there is the generic Levetra and Viagra available for the long term use.  In the meantime, don't give up, or crash into the dumps.  You are very early in the process and have lots of time to get it back...

Sorry for the disapointment and rough day with the ED. With a non-sparing operation like mine 4 weeks ago today, I have no expectations in that dept anytime soon. Hope things improve for you soon.

There is a learning curve with the pump, and it takes you and your anatomy some time to get used to it. If you use constriction bands, it takes a while to find the right amount of constriction -- enough to keep it up, but at the same time to not hurt. The pump will work without Cialis.

So I suggest at this early stage, no constriction, and just pump up enough until it starts to feel uncomfortable, then ease back. You should find you can go a little further each day -- but don't go much beyond your old length.

I hope you don't too discouraged too soon.  As you have read some of us get natural erections very soon and some of us never get them back.  The important thing is all of the choices you have in the event you end up in the latter category or somewhere in between.  I am a happy user of Trimix.  It took awhile to get it right but now I do great.  I still use VED for therapy 2 or 3 times a week just to keep the blood flowing.

It takes a while to get past the scared phase, then comes the pissed off phase, but hopefully you will get back to the life is good stage soon.  Best of luck to you.

I have been around this site for over two years now.  I am constanly reenergized by the outreach and help from people here... both old timer and recent. I stay around because I benefit from the positive information that , just like new members, just keeps on coming.

and Sam...We know how you feel.  Things will probably get better and you can then tell your story to someone else a few weeks or months from now.

It is still early in the game Sam. I know it is easier said than done but try not to be discouraged. There was a lot of trauma down there. After it heals with luck you will be just fine.
