One Year later

It was one year one week ago I had robotic surgery for prostate cancer. My one year PSA test still at zero level, which is a relief.

Only issue in the last year (actually a few months ago) was a kidney stone, which required outpatient surgery. I think I may have caused this due to dietary change. Hopefully this is something I will not have repeated - the pain is incredible. As I told my doctor, I'd much rather deal with a cancer issue.

Sorry to hear about the stone. But I have to say if I had a choice...I'd trade for the stone. Perhaps what I don't know speaking? Probably wouldn't say that during the adventure though.

But I will cheer both results being good!

Think being stabbed in the kidney with a stiletto and then having it twisted constantly. The pain is unrelenting and severe. That's when the stone starts it's journey from the kidney to the outside world and believe me the pain is intense every millimetre of it's journey. The only relief is an injection of a powerful pain suppressant. "Stone" is somewhat of a misnomer, conjuring up as it does, images of a smooth surface. Think extremely jagged little rock passing through a tube that cannot possibly accommodate it.
