Sad but practical idea

This article is focussed on people who play online games with others, then die. The community is starting to realize that they need a way to let the online community know if the player has passed on. Seems like a useful concept, and that we forum members could take advantage.

Deaths of gamers leave their online lives in limbo

NEW YORK (AP) — When Jerald Spangenberg collapsed and died in the middle of a quest in an online game, his daughter embarked on a quest of her own: to let her father's gaming friends know that he hadn't just decided to desert them.....

Somewhere, somehow we need to leave a list of online logins and passwords for our loved ones to use to reply to e-mail, cancel subscriptions, deactivate online accounts, transfer stock accounts and other money insturments and notify online friends of untimely deaths. In the past year, two of my close personal friends, who were very active online have died suddenly and it has been a living nightmare for the family members to do those few things above. Both of them kept all of their information in their heads or never told anyone where any information was written down. It has just been another family tragedy that should not have to be.
