Hey guys --
It's been almost 2 months to the day since my prostatecomy via da Vinci robot. My prognosis is excellent. I was one of the lucky few who saw my Gleason Score do DOWN after the surgery and statistically, I have a 98% chance of being cancer-free five years form now. I still have some minor discomfort in my perineum and oddly enough, slight discomfort at the base of my penis where is joins my body. I haven't had an erection yet, but last week I did try to see if I could achieve an orgasm without being erect. It was difficult to do, but I THINK I achieved it. The only problem was that, while there was a definite release of tension, it was unlike any orgasm I've ever had in my life and it was painful! Also, to my astonishment, I "squirted" a little urine which depressed me. My surgeon, Dr. Ravi Munver at Hackensack Hospital here in NJ is an excellent surgeon and I'm very grateful to him, but we never discussed this part of my recovery and I can't really find any substantial information about it on the internet. Has anyone else had the same experience?
