February 23,2009 RP Surgery
Surgical Pathology Report
Lymph Nodes No Carcinoma
Extraprostatic Extension Present
Tumor invaded Seminal Vesicles (removed)
Perineural invasion
Tumor extends to surgical margins at apex and at bladder neck margin.
Pathological Stage: T3b NO MX
Catheter removal March 10, 2009
April Mid - Experienced Difficulty with urination April 24 had Cystoscopy found scar tissue blockage at bladder neck. Doc opened and then inserted foley for a week.
May 11, 2009 planning session and CT scan with Oncologist prepping for radiology. Doc tempted to insert cath – not able – more blockage at bladder neck.
May 27, 2009 Laser to remove scar tissue at bladder neck. Used foley till June 2, 2009
Peed like a race horse for a few weeks!
Began experiencing weak stream again late June.
June 29, 2009 PSA 5.36 Another - July 7, 2009 4.78
July 10, 2009 another cystoscopy and found more scar tissue blockage at neck of bladder.
Doc opened again. Trained me in self cath. Gave prescription for catheters and antibiotics.
Instructed to self cath twice a day now through radiation sessions.
July 14, 2009 have another planning session and CT with oncologist with radiation to begin the following week for 2 months.
Anyone have a similar experience?
