Good day folks,

Well, I am back online after arriving home late Friday afternoon from my robotic surgery in London Ontario.  tongue

My plan is to post more of the details tomorrow, but the surgeon did say that is was a very clean surgery and he saw nothing unexpected. Path results are expected on my return visit to London on October 14th for the catheter removal.

Welcome to the other side, Bill. Now then, here's the surgery mantra: walk, drink water, repeat often, and add more each day. Glad you had a good experience.

I hope everything goes smooth as silk for you. I echo James W&W, repeat, W&W, try to get in a least 4 walks a day if it doesn't hurt. And pump the fluids big time while you have the cath.

Welcome back to the recovery side, Bill. Glad it went well, can't wait to hear your experience and detail when you feel better.
Yeah, lots of water, stool softeners, and walking - best advice any of us can give you.

It sounds like the surgery went well and London Ontario sounds like a good place to have surgery if you have to have it done. It looks like you have done your homework so I wont add any other advise than what has been offered, just keep us posted and I am happy for you that it went smoothly.

Hey Bill welcome to the other side. I hear those folk in London are A1 and if you want to get a heart transplant while you're there, they can do that too, lol.

Thank you to all who replied and for your kind thoughts. I have posted a full report of my hospital stay which I hope you enjoy. I am walking and drinking W&W and all is going well.

Greetings, Bill.  Welcome to the other side!  Sounds as if you are doing great.  As others have said, keep those fluids moving and don't forget the stool softeners.  Keep up the good reports.  David

Welcome to the other side. Relax and get some movies while the days tick by. about the time that you are sick of CNN it will be time to go to the next step: catheter removal.

I recall just being soooo glad that the surgery was behind me that I took a walk in the rain, catheter and all and just loved it. The pain didn't matter as the birds chirped, the rain fell and I was on the way to recovery.
