High PSA

Biopsy week ago. Waiting for results from urologist.

Primary Doctor has said a few times that we could get a second opinion. This makes us wonder if they really trust this urologist.

If it is prostate cancer what would be our best treatment option around Tulsa? Urologist? Artesian Cancer Center? Are the cancer centers really better than a regular urologist?

Give us some recommendations.

Be best to wait for the reuslts of that biopsy report before thinking so far. We would you rather not have to join us, but if the biopsy is positive for PC, then your treatment options will vary according to the degree and severity of your cancer.

Even though I am in SC, I was born at St. Johns Hospital in Tulsa, OK myself, many moons ago.

When it comes to cancer and life and death decissions - you can't have too many opinions. I'm sure your GP trusts your Urologist...What is YOUR opinion of him?

You may want to consider a trip to OU Med Center and check out their urology department. I hear they have come a long way with the robotic program since I was considering it.

I personally go to The Cancer Treatment Center of America in Zion IL and love the place. They have a hospital in Tulsa. It might be worth checking out. The have a unique approach to treatment.

I agree Dale, good choice. I go their facility here in Greenville, SC. I like their entire approach of care and treatment. I used them before 10 years ago too and it was a good experience from a patient care point of view. I am always treated like I am the only patient, I am never rushed, any and all questions are answered. I feel respected at all times.
