Pac-10 officials will be blue, but not for why you'd think

Pac-10 officials working the five conference games this weekend will be wearing blue sleeve covers on one arm as part of a prostate cancer awareness campaign in partnership with the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center.

The message to college football fans and TV viewers: If you’re a man over age 40, ask your doctor about annual screening for prostate cancer. This advice is in keeping with guidelines issued by the American Cancer Society.

The games are Washington State at Arizona, USC at Arizona State, Oregon State at California, Oregon at Stanford and Washington at UCLA.

Way to go PAC-10 officials !! I am actually a WAC fan, ...Go Boise State !!, but we do I enjoy watching BSU beat up on the Pac-10 schools (when the PAC -10 have the guts to play BSU).

Would be great if other conference officials would follow suit, and wear the arm bands for PCa recognition. Any thing that we all can do to get the word out about screening for PCa.

Was not a PAC-10 Fan, But I am one now!!!!!!

Turned out to be diffeerent from what I expected. The armbands extended almost from shoulder to wrist, and were colored light blue. You can see some glimpses in this USC vs ASU clip.

Patience, the cameras don't track the refs :) but there are some good views. For example, 2:28.
