agressive cancer, PSA, and f-PSA

Can one really tell if one has agressive PC from the PSA and PSA-free tests?

I am not yet dx., but I am hoping that even if I have PC it will be more of the indolent kind (see my numbers below).

But that brings up another question. How does one know if a PC dx. is the indolent or aggressive kind? Almost all of you seem to go on to treatment (usually surgery). I would probably make the same choice. Yet I keep reading how so many of the P-cancers would never have harmed the host. But I guess we have no way of knowing?

Mel, without a biopsy showing a bonifide dx, no serious way to answer your question, and even with full biopsy numbers, you can get a feel for your answer, but knowing indolent from agreesive PC goes way beyond the sheer numbers. We have guys with low numbers but agressive acting cases, and those with high numbers that are doing well.
