So at 30 days my PSA was .4, I was hoping that the test was too soon and some little PSA critters were still running around in my blood stream.
At about
50 days my PSA was .53 and we began talking to the RO about
IMRT. After reading the pros and cons about
supplements I decided to quit the Pomegranate stuff and the D3, maybe they were helping it to rise.
Today at day 64 my PSA came back at .6, so it's official I guess, the little bastiches are growing strong and just won't lay down and die even without the prostate for a home.
9 days from now, Monday after Thanksgiving, we'll stick the little nuclear rod up my butt and take it for a 39 day spin. May then the little suckers will get the message and DIE.
Just thought I would throw it out here. Not at all crying over the news. Just keeping up on my job of posting for posterity.
I had a great surgeon, who I am quite sure did a top notch job. Got a post path report that could have been a little better, but hey, it wasn't that bad, really.
It is just the luck of the draw. As has been said over and over here, PCa is fickle and unpredictable as hell. No two guys are alike in how they handle any of the treatments, and PCa does not respond ever to the know protocols.
Looking forward to the RT and seeing what the future brings.
BTW in celebration my wife gave me my Christmas present early today.
She bought me a new 55" LED TV, new surround sound system (complete with Blue Ray, and streaming Netflix) and a great universal remote.
I am replacing a 58" rear screen projection tv that is old but works great, however I am tired of missing out on the HDTV experience of watching the ball games. I put a 42" in the bedroom for her when she was first diagnosed and we knew she would be spending a lot of time in bed.
So you can really see that I am not down about
the latest PSA news at all. If there is any one thing that is bothering me it's the thought of the job I face tomorrow; moving furniture, building the new tv stand, moving out the old tv and connecting this whole new system.
Hey when I think about
it I did great on this deal. Took out a prostate and got a whole new entertainment system. And she told me I don't have to do any house painting for at least a year to boot.
Yee Haaa!. The good news keeps coming.
