Just picked up this story, disturbing but not sure it wasn't known before.

Any exposure to radiation comes with risks. We have made so much progress with the delivery, however, that we each need to accept the benefits when they are necessary. I just had an Xray in the dentists office, and I needed it. In itself it isn't an issue. But who knows. I have had countless other Xrays in life, and I was treated after surgery with IMRT as well.
But when you receive a cancer diagnosis, CT scans do become a part of the journey for most. Not so much for early stage prostate cancer, but it does more good than harm for the gander.
This one does not worry me as much as my advanced disease does.

This is why the great mammogram debate has *some* merit in arguing less diagnostics (I personally disagree with decreasing the testing), but the arguments for less PSA testing, of course, have NO merit. Tthe 'risk' of an additional test on blood they will take anyway for other standard tests is ZERO.
