Hi and Merry Christmas,

I was wondering if anyone knows if you can have a retrograde ejaculation if you have had a vasectomy and a prostatectomy? My Dad is experiencing a white, milky penile discharge periodically upon urination. It has been one month after his surgery. Has anyone else had any experience with this? (He also is recovering from a kidney infection so we are not sure if the discharge is just part of his infection)

There is nothing left to make the ejaculate, so it is probably a result of the kidney infection. The only plumbing left connected is his urethra from his bladder through his penis. The Cowper's gland may be still intact, but it would not make enough fluid to ever notice with urination.

Most men don't get any of the pre-semen fluid produced by the Cowper's gland, I do, but it doesn't occur to post orgasm, and even then, not connected with any urination, and not hardly noticable, and doesnt occur with ever orgasm. Sounds like this is worth talking to his dr directly about.

My Cowper's Gland was left intact and functional, so in most case, there is some pre-ejaculate fluid produced if I have an intense orgasm, but its never in connection with urination. I think I would ask his dr. about what you precisely described.
