Hi Friends: This is an update of my postings in early November, then using "Newly Diagnosed" as my display name. I'm much further along now, as follows: my PCa is stage T2B (Gleason score of 3+4); I've met with Dr. Larry Goldenberg who does robotic surgery at the Vancouver General Hospital; he's scheduled me for surgery on March 11, 2010; and he's prescribed hormone therapy medication to decrease my testosterone level, which will hopefully shrink the prostate. The medication is one pill daily of Casodex for 28 days, and one shot of Lupron (which I've now had). So, the course of action is falling into place. I'm now beginning to collect information as to what my post-op life will be like, and I would welcome any information and/or thought which you might like to share with me. Thanks in advance!
