Another question about biopsy slides

Sorry forgot to ask this on my other thread!

Ive seen many people on this forum who have had their post- op path read by different clincs. We gave my dad's path to Sloan after they requested them, however they did not look them over, I think they just wanted the slides for their records.

If we do request a second opinon on the slides, is this covered by insurance? Or is this an out of pocket charge? I know too many questions!!!

Thanks Geebra! I think he is 17 yrs and counting... Somebody ran his name by me the other day and then I started searching him online. He actually had lymph node involvment and he is still undetectable. Hopefully, he's not the only one. Thanks!

I am thinking they will read the slides and will provide you the results upon request. Not sure about the insurance. I had another hospital read mine and to my knowledge was not charged. Keep us posted.
