I had my surgery, Dec 2, 2009. I had radical perineal surgery (Which the head of Urology at Medical University of SC prefers). Was out of hospital after one day and had very little pain. Pretty sore sitting for a while, but that went away after a couple of weeks. Never a problem with incontenance and only wore a pad for a few weeks.
Doc has me on Viagra/Cialis therapy. Not much results other than I can feel pressure at the base of my penis, like it wants to happen, but no erections yet. Just ordered the pump for therapy.
My issue is i still have what feels like an irritation of the lining of my urethera beginning at the "root" of my penis through an area close to the tip. I am taking Darcalma which is suppose to assist with the pain and inflamation. It might help some (makes you pee blue). Doesnt really burn when I urinate and my flow is good, but very touchy and sore down deep. Since I am only two months out, maybe still lingering irritation from cathater which was in for 9 days. Not getting much better with time. Anyone else dealing with this?
