I put it in my signature what do you guys think? I could not talk to my Uro he had to leave town suddenly. I think it looks ok except the right apical margin says positive and lymphovascular invasion suspicious. I'll meet my Dr. next Mon. and he will explain it all but i thought i would get your input. What a relief to get the cath out. The nurse looked at it and said you have a big one. (She was talking about the cath) really burned when it came out. I also got the donut cushion the oval is much better for me. Thanks 142 the oval one is great.

Glad you got your catheter out, sure you were happy to be free of the snake at last. Yeah, have your dr. go over the finer points of your pathology report, overall it is good. You went in a Gleason 7 and came out a Gleason 7, least there was no upgrading there.

Hope you continue to heal and recover well.

Thanks David, it was a terrible morning they didn't have pre-approval for the scan to remove the cath. Me and my wife were about to lose it because they had plenty of time to get this taking care of. If insurance does not pay there going to have to eat the cost of the scan.

Ps, How much snow did you get?

Just barely 2", and 2 days later, not a trace of it. Still, most snow here at one time in the past 5-6 winters. Really do hope you feel better soon yourself. I still have to wait till next Monday to see what my dr. is going to do about my remaning catheter.

All in all seems pretty good Key. These path reports can be downright confusing at times. I mean, I am at a loss to understand what they mean by calling a focally positive surgical margin yet say no extraprostatic extention (meaning outside the prostate capsule). It will be interesting to see what your doc says that all means. Lymphovascular invasion I believe is talking about the system within the gland, and is probably on a par with perineural invasion (again within the gland) which doctors seem to discount as having any great bearing on your outcome. I had extensive vascular involvement and extensive perineural invasion within the gland and I am undetectable at the ultrasensitive level 2-1/2 years post surgery. Here's to you being the same.

Thanks for the encouragement. I guess pads and waiting on psa's is the next step in this journey.
