First Trimex Injection.

The PA gave me the first trimex injection. Injected .20 ml. Gave me less than 50% erection, but he was pleased with the response. Just very mild discomfort. Next week in his office, he will have me inject .30 ml. Will have a little trepidation about doing it myself, but it sounds like after a few times it becomes a walk in the park.

Yes, it can be intimidating at first. I still have a bit of a feeling of "am I really going to stick myself?" but it always is very easy and almost painless. Compared to your surgery, it's nothing. If the trimix ends up giving you discomfort, there is also bimix, which eliminates the ingredient (alprostadil) that sometimes causes the discomfort for some. There is also an auto-injector if you don't want to watch - about $70, your doc can prescribe it. I preferred being able to see what I was doing.

Hi Ricky,

Yes it can be an ominous experience at first, but you will get the process down pretty soon. a jump of .10 is a huge jump, you may only need a few more units to get you to 100% or just a post injection hold of the medicine in the penis

I found that the injection was most effective if I held the base of the penis tight with my left hand while injecting ( with auto injector) with my right. Then after the injection, press and massage the area with the wipe for approx 60 seconds, it helps distribute the medication before the blood flow flushes it out

Try to get 30 or 31 gauge needles they are a bit smaller than 28's and much thinner than 26's
