Hi guys and gals,I am just having a terrible time with this radiation.When I get done with my treatment I am so tired I just barely can function.They gave me two meds to relax my bladder they turned my pee different colors.Well turns out I am allergic to both of them.Had two really bad reactions covered from head to toe with the most severe hives I ever had.I quit taking them and am back to (normal)haha . I will get back to posting in two weeks when my radiation is over! Thanks for the venting time always thinking of my PCa brothers.

Zach, sorry to hear of your struggles and the alergic reaction. Please post again when you feel able. It's always good to be in touch with my PCa brothers and know how you're doing.

Sorry to hear about the bad reactions to the medications.  Sounds like you are back on track now!

Good luck with the rest of your radiation.  Hang in there and we will hear from you when you are finished.

Zach, so sorry to hear about the terrible fatigue and the allergic reaction! It's amazing how each person reacts to these things - some sail through with nary a problem and some seem to carry an almost unbearable burden!

Good luck ... we look forward to hearing from you in a couple of weeks when the RT is completed.

Zach, sorry you are having the troubles with the IMRT, I had a terrible time myself and it was well documented here. Some men to and some don't, no way to predict ahead of time. I wonder if you were on pyridium as one of the meds, as it will turn your pee to a glowing orange color - stains anything it drips on, it easy to be allergic to that. Wonder if you were on ditropan for the spasms like I have been on for so long, its never given me any problems, but perhaps you are sensitive to that.

Hope you do better when this part of your journey is over. Please feel free to vent anytime. It's one of the privileges of being here at HW

Sorry to hear about your problems with radiation tx. If you started on 1/10 my guess is that you are very near the end of the tx. Hang in there and update us when you can.

Zach, you're almost finished and the side effects should subside soon. Today is my 29th out of 39 sessions and the last few days I can really feel how effects build up. I'm going to ask Michael to send me his National Geographic magazine collection since I'm running out of reading material while on the "throne".

LOL Jake, they are in the mail. When my wife and three dogs and our cat see me sprint thru the house, they now know it is not for exercise. We could start a list,, you know your going thru IMRT when you scan the paper looking for specials on Charmin. You know you are going thru IMRt when---------- well you get the drift.

Zack,

Sorry to hear you are having a hard time with the radiation, hopefully, it will be over soon and all the side effects will go away.  I just finished my 33 treatment today and have two to go.

I guess I am one of the lucky ones as I have not had any real problems.  Good luck.

David,it was pyridium and prosed which turns your pee a brilliant blue. Thanks for asking
