Just wondering if anyone else had work done at Clev. Clinic? Went up there today and they are going to have my surgery done  next thurs instead of Wed. . So far, very impressed with the place.

I am a very satisfied Cleveland Clinic customer. I had Dr Kaouk. I am convinced that it was his skill and experience with the DaVinci that got me where I am. Many other doctors would have had positive margins I believe, and even if I'm wrong, I am very grateful to them.

With a Gleason 9, I needed every break I could get.

Good luck on that first gas and BM. Be sure you get it done there in the hospital. Not a pretty sight at home.

You are in expert hands at The Cleveland Clinic. I had open surgery surgery there in January 2000 with a Gleason 7. I remain cancer free to date.

Just last January I had a second surgery there. A pelvic reconstruction specialist removed a Coloplast Virtue sling that had been implanted at a local hospital without my consent five months earlier.

The Virtue sling caused continuous intolerable pain and made my incontinence much worse. Near the end of the removal surgery, I was implanted with an American Medical System AdVance sling. The results have been fantastic. I am now 100% dry at all times for the first time in ten years. The pain, that resulted from the Virtue sling trauma, is improving with time.

My biggest regret is failing to go to The Cleveland Clinic for my sling surgery last July. It would have sparred me from so much suffering and the worst medical experience of my life.

Thank you for the responces. Dr Stein will be doing the work this Thurs. They  sure seem to be extremly thorough on the pre surgey day. Thanks again folks.

While I had my salvage prostatectomy at Sloan-Kettering, they referred me to Cleveland Clinic for reconstructive surgery. You can't go wrong with Cleveland Clinic. I had Dr. Angermeier for my surgeries, 1 reconstructive and 2 implants. He's in a class by himself.
