Dark pants (trousers) are best!!!

So there I was this morning thinking that the weather was warm enough again for some lightweight almost white pants (trousers OK!) and that my continence was fine after wearing dark pants since the catheter came out to cover up any damp patches.

So what happened...

Sure enough I came out of the bathroom at about 11am with a visible damp patch.
Had I been too slow, had I dribbled on my way in? No
Had I missed during the performance? No
Had I messed up while tidying up? No

So what had happened?
The water had gone everywhere when I washed my hands!

Can't win!!!!

And then when I got home later I found I'd gone and gotten a great big black smear all down my leg from a tire!

So I guess it'll be dark blue jeans tomorrow.

ALf, if it makes you feel any better, since my main OP back in October, 2008 - I have never left the house wearing anything but black slacks, with the exception of a handful of times I had to wear a suit for job interviews. To this day, I still can't and don't wear jeans, as much as I loved them, anything that pushes against my surgical area is still tender to this day.

Just one of the many benefits having PC, isnt it?

Or, wear shorts and avoid both situations you mentioned.

I'm glad to see you are taking this in stride. Smashing. Stiff uppah lip and all that.

I stopped wearing light colored pants too. Before I went to basic black I lived in fear of showing a stain. With my shortened nozzle there were times when my flow would exit, run down my scrotum, and due to fluidic action and no hair, would actually spray behind me into my underpants waiting with open arms down around my ankles. When I pulled them up, I would be greeted with a surprise. I even had wet butt cheeks a few times. Try explaining that to the uninitiated.

Go with the shorts Alf, but blame it on Steve if it doesnt work out well. I was never sure if I should cry or laugh when those things happened. I keep clean clothes in the back of my truck to this day, just in case.

This all makes me feel like a little kid again, like needing to wear shorts so I don't make my knees dirty. It's like putting plastic covers on the furniture (which I don't do)

David: I have managed to wear jeans without problems. In fact I've been wearing them all the time I think. (And I recall you posting about the benefits of dark pants when you had that flood)
Folk must think I've been wearing the same jeans for nine months, as a month or so before the robot I bought several pairs of dark ones with a 36 inch waist instead of my usual 34. They were so good that I was even able to wear them when I came home from the hospital and had a catheter in and a bag on my calf!
And now I'm a little rounder the 36 inch waist fits anyway.

I expect I'll spill strawberries on myself today.

The strawberry thing was a joke. I didn't even have any in the house. But I went and bought some and now they've gone and done the opposite.
I spilt white icing sugar on my dark blue sweatshirt while preparing them!

And dark trousers also go wrong when you are cleaning the toilet bowl and splash bleach on them!

I think I will go one better than shorts, and forget about clothes all together when it gets warm enough.
