Drums,
Sorry I didn't see this sooner - I wasn't ignoring you, just have been wiped out from radiation fatigue.
My experience was that too much walking at one time was just too much. I started with three short walks a day (20 minutes or so, at first less than a half-mile), doing a set of kegels after I got back in. It seemed to go much better than one long walk (and a long one in the first 8-10 weeks demanded a mid-walk pad change - not easy to do in public).
Now I can do the 3-4 miles (temp permitting - weather is too hot for daytime) in a little over an hour, in one session. It just takes time. I am about
33 weeks out from DaVinci, and am at the end of IGRT, so my walking time has taken a dive the last couple of weeks.
It was about
5 months out before I was told I could do upper-body exercises. They were concerned about
being sure I didn't risk any internal damage with radiation on the horizon.
