Am enjoying watching the 54th annual Tony Awards - and a commercial popped up - c/o www.cbs.com/cbs_cares/
-was good to see prostate cancer awareness on a TV special - and to see that CBS cares !

i didnt watch that, but that was a good ad to run. us pc guys will take any advertisement we can get.

That's the ad I wrote about a while back.  "You think the exam is no fun for You..."

My local Tom Thumb is collecting $ for cancer awareness....I think I'll I'll send a news tip into the local NBC station to see if they can help advertise it.

The PCa drive at Tom Thumb (now part of Safeway) is set around Father's Day. I am told that one of the senior executives is a big supporter of prostate cancer research and support.

142 - that's what its going to take to help promote our cause. Everywhere I turn, I see nothing but "pink", even at Lowe's recently, they had "pink" related items for Breast Cancer. As Father's Day approaches, I am not seeing any "blue" for prostate cancer, not so far.

Safeway/Vons/Tom Thumb are owned by the same company. The Prostate Cancer Foundation recognizes June as prostate cancer awareness month. They run campaigns through Major League Baseball and the grocery chain. National Prostate Cancer Awareness month is in September.
