blood after biopsy..

I'm back for a follow up question, hoping someone can share their insight. Had my biopsy a week ago and the results were great, negative biopsy and I was surprised that i experienced virtually no blood in my urine or stool after the first day. But since then I have noticed what seems like a lot of blood in my semen, how long does this last? I read that it's a normal occurrence, but would love some feedback Thanks.

Mine lasted for about a month. Toward the end it was black and scary looking. Expect it.

Having had 3 biopsies along the way, never had any bleeding beyond the first 3 or 4 days, but you will find quite a variety about that from our group.

Biopsy Feb 24, Davinci April 9.  I don't remember that the blood in the semen ever cleared up completely in that time, but it was not as much as time went by,

I had blood in semen for about three weeks -- very scary to look at, but I think it is in the normal range of things

My uro said to "flush" my prostate out ( when i still had one). He recomended having some ejaculations soon after the proceedure. Appartently, if you have blood in the gland it should not let it stay there too long.

I remember the blood in semen was at about 2 weeks after the biopsy, and continued for a week or so, but I was told to expect it.

Its normal, your Uro should have told you that was going to happen. Do not be surprised when it is a brown color just prior to it clearing up

Yeah, red semen, like ejaculating 100% blood the day after biopsy, then gradually got browner, then just dirty looking and it took about four weeks to clear up.

For wife's sake we decided to use a condom for a while or withdraw in time and do something else for the finale. And don't forget about the existence of fruit flavoured condoms too.

Even though my Uro warned me about the blood in the semen--it was still unsettling when it happened the first time.

Took about 3 weeks to clear up completely with the semen becoming paler and paler after the 1st week.

Glad your biopsy turned out OK.

Perfectly normal.  Mine cleared up in 3 weeks.  The first few ejaculations were done alone after we had talked about it.  The Dr. had warned us.  That was one subject she had a hard time supporting me about.  She said "I'm sorry I just can't help with on this, your take care of things."  It was one of the few times she has ever done that so as far as I am concerned OK lets move on.

Rest easy but be watchful and if things drag on too long, call the Dr. again and push for answers.
