Back in the precancer days I used to spend quite abit of time in the gym giving the younger guys a run for their money with the weigths. Once I found out that I really did have PC I lost all intrest in any excerise. It has been nearly a year so I am really out of shape. I have been thinking about
giving the gym a try again and might dust off the mountain bike. My concern at this time is what I have read about
PC and testosterone. I have heard that weight lifting can increase your testosterone levels and PC and high testosterone levels are not a good combination. Though my first PSA test came back .04 (which I am happy with) I had a doctor tell me that with my high PSA (20+) and post op gleason score (4+4=8) that the chances are that the cancer has already spread. While I really would like to start excersing again, I don't want to turn the .04 into something higher. I guess my main questiions is, could the excerise cause the cancer to grow faster if it is still there. I may be worrying about
nothing but I guess I have done a bit of that the last few months.
Thanks for your thoughts
