I am now 14 months out from the op and ED is still an ongoing problem, but I can achieve some stiffness without medical help. The thing that I worry about is the release of urine on orgasm. This happens every time with some force. I urinate before so my bladder is empty but still pass approx 50 ml. I realise the muscles have been altered and traumatised by the op, but I had hoped that the problem would have resolved by now.

My day to day continence is about 99.9% with a very occassional stress dribble which is hardly enough to dampen underwear. 

I would like to hear comments from fellow members about this.

Join the club!  I am 3 years post op and I ejeculate urine with such force that I can hit the ceiling on a good orgasm. I ejeculate urine with more force now without a prostate, then I ejeculated seman with my prostate. 

I am one of the lucky ones who had absolutely no ED problems after surgery, and I can get a full rock solid erection without drugs.   What is frustrating is that as soon as I start getting sexually aroused, I will start to feel my splinkter muscle relax and I will start to drip uncontrollably. Even if I empty my bladder before sex, I will still drip a little and still will ejeculate urine.

My uro told me that urine ejeculation is a side effect of prostate surgery that surgeons don't tell you about, and you just have to learn to live with it. He told me that urine is sterile and will not hurt your partner if you get some in her, but just try telling that to a woman! 

 I foun that the best thing I can do is if I know I am going to have sex, I will drink a lot of water and stay away from coffee or soda. The water dilutes the urine and eliminates the smell.  Also, I find that if I have an orgasm while on my back and the woman on top, I ejeculate far less urine, and sometime none at all.  I figure that in this position, the urine lays in the bottom of the bladder stays away from the ureatha, and thus doesn't get ejeculated during orgasm.

Wouldnt using a "rubber" help, or are you ejaculating more urine than one could hold?

In my case, I ejeculate more urine than a condom will hold, but what is worst, if I had to wear a condom, I would loose the erection almost immediately.  In my case I can get an erection easy, but only with a lot of stimulation. With a condom I would not feel anything and loose the erection.

I go through phases where I'll get a little squire of urine. I almost get the feeling with a little extra mind effort - I can tell myself to not squirt.

that makes sense about the condom part, didnt think of that. sounds like it would be a very annoying problem, not sure of a solution.

Guys,
You know I am a total leaker when upright and moving. But when I am on my back, even when I orgasm, I don't squirt - thankfully.

I have found that water will pass through my system in about 1 hour - 1.5 hours max. So, if I am going to do something. I drink at least 1.5 hours before the event. I pee while taking the shower (no surprise there) and really empty myself. There is very little urine production after that.

NY-Sooner I think you should enter yourself on "America's Got Talent". Not many guys have that ability.

Too much urine for a condom to hold, I think the force would blow it off ! Good idea about lying on back, will give that a try.  I`m sure the problem is the sphincter at the bladder opening not working or not there at all after prostate removal.

As I understand how it works is that when you had a prostate, you had 2 sphincters, one between the bladder and the prostate and one after the prostate. During orgasm the sphincter between the bladder and prostate tighten up and the lower sphincter relaxed. When they removed the prostate they took out that sphincter between your prostate and bladder and you are now left with the downstream sphincter. Your brain has to be trained to tighten that sphincter during orgasm rather relax it. The problem is how do you train your brain to control that sphincter during orgasm. If anyone has an idea...let me know.]

The only thing I can add is to avoid asparagus if you think you are going to get lucky.
