Peter just changed how our signatures work by reducing the amount of Characters to 400 in a signature. What is not clearly understood is that signatures can be expensive to the website as many folks, especially the folks in the prostate cancer forum, have large signatures.
What Peter changed works this way:
There are two ways to post in threads. First there is the Blue button labelled "+ Post Reply", then there is the text box labelled Quick Reply at the bottom of each thread.
Here is how they work:The Blue "+ Post Reply" button: When you click this button, there are check boxes at the bottom. If you want your signature to appear in your post, you MUST check the "Include signature" box. If you don't have that box checked, then you will have no signature attached to your post.
The "Quick Reply" text box: A quick reply will always include the signature in the thread if you have a signature in your profile. But we encourage you to try to post a signature only once in a thread.
Again, these changes were made to reduce the amount of storage to keep the site at it's fastest, and to try to encourage the members to not use the signature more than once per page.
