I'm trying to fing a web site for on line psa doubling calcaulator,Is there one.

Husband psa results after surgery and  radiation.

First test after radiation

 July 2009 - 0.4

 Sept/09- 0.55

 Dec/09 -0.52

 March/10-0.7

 June/10-0.61

 Sept/10-0.8

It would seem your husband is has been and is currently on HT. I that correct?

From what you have posted, his PSA is tending upward at a very slow rate. You can plot his numbers on some square blocked chart paper and get a pretty good idea what the doubling time is..It looks to be a little over a year but its moving in fits and starts, not a steady rise..

Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center has one on their website. I would go with an authoritative, trustworthy site like MSKCC (or PCRI, etc), although you can find a plethora of calculators out there with a simple Google search.

I will give them a try,Thanks again.My husband is not on HT yet .Only time and the numbers will tell when, still looking for the magic number as to when

Not on HT? Testosterone 11? Most 54 year olds would have a reading of 300-600..( I think)..

I talked to our Dr and she said that the normal rate is between 2.5 and 18.5 nmol/L
We are canadian if that make a different I do not know.He is now 58 years old He had his surgey in 2006.

It does make a difference. Fairwind has jumped the gun in what he said. Fairwind is quoting nanograms per decilitre (US measure) while Waterloo is quoting nanomols per litre which is the scale that much of the rest of the world uses. about 8 to 30 for a 54 year old is the average range. Measurement can vary according to how the lab runs the test.
