What will they think of next...I had my second cystoscopy yesterday via day surgery to remove what I thought was a staple in my bladder. It was actually a surgical clip/looks like a really really small paper clip. My body was rejecting it and a calcium build up was causing blood in my urine.
The meds they gave me to help relieve the pain when urinating are very very blue pills. Instructions even mention picking up the pillls with dry hands and washing it down quickly with water to avoid staining of the teeth and gums....
You know you lead a sheltered dull life when harrassing nurses is the hightlight of your day. (harrassing in a fun way)
Mr Jones - are you familiar with the term: Merca Staph Infection?
I sure am...If you want to re-disenfect this room be my guest.
Mr Jones - these germs are usually brought in by patients...
I'm sure they are. My suggestion to disinfect this room still stands.
hmmmm... Mr Jones, is there any possibilty you might be bringing in the germs...
Do I look that sick to you...
Next
Mr Jones - do you have violent tendancies?
I don't think so.
Do you feel the desire to hurt anyone?
hmmmmm... Would that be Home,co workers or hospital workers?
Mr Jones - do you have a safe place to go when you leave here?
hmmmm. Does my mean little kitty kat count?
Well,, Mr Jones you have about two hours to wait. When you see the people with the funny hats come in, you'll know its almost time...Oh and when you see Mr Happy you'll know him right off. He'll be the guy with the two hypo's in in shirt pocket...
Then the ladies with the funny hats came in...aka the surgical nurses...They said there was a slight delay cause Mr Happy (anesthesiologist) got lost and went to the wrong hospital....They thought i was kidding when I suggested we get someone else
All went well...Even better then the cystoscopy in the Uro's office a few months ago when he found the cause of the bleeding...And he tried to YANK the clip out...He had a lot more tools to choose from yesterday...
