Cajun Jeff, I sent you an email. If you're going to suggest I use spell check, I've already noticed my several typos in the entry above. I think my eyes are getting worse! Sorry. Or, if you thought it was too grim, or out of place, to mention the anointing of the sick, I guess I should have eplained that I didn't take part in the ritual because I thought I might die. That idea never entered my mind. These days it's done to convey peace of mind and strength for those who are suffering, dealing with serious illness, or going through major surgery. I wish I hadn't used the term "last rites," since that's no longer apropos. I look forward to hearing good news from Optimist after his surgery. I'm sure he'll do great. I wish I had found this site prior to my own surgery. The encouragement provided here is outstanding!
